CODING INFORMATION - GATE, GLOBE, CHECK VALVE
This ordering code, used in conjuncture with the Standard Materials
Available Chart shown at right, allow you to code any standard Smith
Gate, or Check Valve, or a number of common variations. Code letter
have been assigned for your selection.
The first three or four figures always indicates the basic valve
style. These figures can be taken directly from the preceding pages.
The second group of five letter indicates the options available.
If a standard valve is required, as from the listing below, enter
the code letters in sequence as indicated by the colors, and be
certain to enter "0" for any standard selection.
The third group of three numbers indicates the normal pipe size in
1/100ths.
You will find special orders coded with a Z plus four numbers in the
options section, for the sake of records and nameplate marking.
Special options include body drains, handwheel extensions, material
in different combinations, etc. For such non-coded items,
contact your Smith representative.
